Precarious President
(About Iran's President)
by Nandlal K. Pancholi

As a leader of a Theocratic State
His motto is to harass ... to hate
He has filthily rich oil asset
Which makes his arrogance escalate
And exhorts he, in autocratic style,
To wipe off The entire State of Israel

Through position of power he fumes and frets
For making mistakes never regrets
He adopts, deliberately, a parochial stance
Endangering world peace in full cognizance
Blissfully he forgets affiliation with UNO
While Wantonly declaring Israel a foe

His reason being ruined by bigotry
Far far away he has strayed from sanity
And has crossed with impunity
All limits of populist oratory
"Fools rush in where angels fear to tread"
This line of Pope in his eyes I have read

As he is on a prowl to destroy peace
Chance to incite sectarian feelings he doesn't miss
Unkempt look of him and slovenly style of public address
To him and his country brings perennial disgrace
Let UNO and NPT round his neck tighten the noose
For he ,above board, fundamentalists woos

We cannot leave uranium at the mercy of a demagogue
Who makes world's accord surround by hazy fog
Hiroshima and Nagasaki, being before us, a pathetic precedent
We no longer can trust a precarious president.
