Freedom
by Jonathan Maru

As I walked along a path,
I heard a faithful sound of people rhythmically shouting things out loud,
I ran over to the noise to see what was the matter,
There were pro-life supporters that were making quite a clatter,

Right outside my school rang out "stop the aborters",
As I was somehow dragged into this disorder,
Pictures were being thrown at me left and right,
I thought that this would undoubtedly start a fight,
I left the hail of protestors with a opened mind,
As well as a new out look for man kind,

This did not go over with student well,
Like a demon escaping the fire of hell,
I said at once it was freedom at work,
Just then I was looked upon and labeled a jerk,
For what you ask and I do too,
For nothing, its the first amendment at work for me and you.
