Pond
by Kate Felton

Blades of grass being cut to their death
People pass but nobody sees
The beauty that lies within these weeds
The water that's so inviting from afar
Will never taste as sweet as azucar
Longing to touch, but I can no longer see
Salt falls from my face and my dreams die
right here before me.
