A Lass From Tralee
by Bernard Howe

There was a young lady
who came here from Tralee.
Her shoes were emerald green
and she was fancy as could be.

Her coat of golden thread
matched the color of her hair.
Men would all raise up
to offer her their chair.

Her skirt was Kelly green
trimmed with velvet bands.
Truly nothing could compare
to the softness of her hands.

A smile so sweet and kind
she'd take your breath away.
If she'd grace you with a kiss
your mind would be in disarray.
