Dear Drunk Driver

How can you get behind
The wheel and drink and drive
With all the innocent people
In this world trying to survive?

How can you justify
Taken another life
Someone's brother
Sister or wife?

How do you look
In their parents' eyes
And say I took
Your only child's life?

How do you look
At yourself in the mirror
And realize you killed someone
After only drinking one beer?

Do you ever ask yourself
WHY?
You had to be so stupid
And drink and drive

Or do you even care
You took a life
Because you will only
Get one to five?

While the innocent victim
Pays with their life.
