Mourning / Grief

We're Very Sorry
by James H. Lee Jr.

We're very, very sorry,
your loved one passed away,
and left you sad and lonely,
with heart filled with dismay.

They've gone to join the angels,
and choirs up above,
to share their joy and laughter,
and their eternal love,

With all their friends and family,
the ones who've gone before,
who've waited long to welcome them
to heaven's blissful shore.

Their sorrows, trials and problems
no longer plague them here,
and their welcoming committee
has filled their hearts with cheer.

But you, dear friend, must carry on
the work they left undone,
work that needs your doing for
the Father and The Son.

Our hearts go out to you, dear friend,
in sympathy and love,
and pray that God will comfort you
from mansions up above.
