We are so very sorry
Your baby's gone away
To live with Heavenly Father,
'Til dawns a brighter day.
We know you'll truly miss him/her,
But he/she is in good hands,
And he/she will get the best of care
From He who understands,
And knows your little baby,
And loves him/her just like you,
For He's our Heavenly Father,
And your baby's Father, too.
He raised him/her as a spirit
Before he/she came to earth
To be your little baby
Through mortal human birth.
And so He is no stranger,
But Father, kind and dear,
Who, later on, will welcome you
To heaven's atmosphere.
Heavenly Father's in command,
And He is waiting there
To comfort you who grieve and mourn,
So go to Him in prayer.
He'll take away the sorrow,
The pain and heartache, too,
And leave you with sweet mem'ries
To cherish all life through.
