The day that we fear as our last, The last our eyes shall see, Is really but our birthday Into eternity.
For when we close our eyes, And draw in our last breath, Our spirit leaves our body, Which must succumb to death.
But with our mortal passing, Our spirit eyes awake Into a new and glorious dawn, Eternity's daybreak.
For on that day, New Birth, The spirit's awakening, Shall burst forth bright and glorious, As we are answering
The roll call up in heaven, For those whose life is o'er, Who've bravely fought life's battles, And enter heaven's door.
How glorious and wonderful That day, to us, shall be, That day when we are born again, Into eternity.
Oh do not fear the passing, But let your eyes behold The glories of eternity Where streets are paved with gold. |
