Where I Belong
by
Kat Ballanger

The wind ruffles my long hair as I walk down the path
the dark clouds move in on the sun
this trip wont be fun
I hold the dozen roses all black
as I reach my destination I find the place ghostly
I kneel in front of his grave
I put a rose where he lays
all the roses one by one
the last rose is the deepest red I've ever known
crimson red from my blood
the thorny stem has no luv
it wrapped itself around my wrist
the clouds started to leak from up above
the blood washed onto his stone
my old boyfriend now did know
he knew I wuz to be with him the rest of my life
I wish I could come back every day with more roses
but today I will be left behind
now the sun starts to show
the clouds leave and now I know
this is where I belong.
