Tears

tears of pain
rolling down your cheek
like a spring rain
They are a sign
of how we feel inside
and when we have our
love by our side
We shed them when
we say good-bye
we express the hurt
from our eyes
We shed them to show
happiness when
we hold each other
tight together again
Words may hurt that
will cause them to be shown
and they may appear
when we are alone
Tears fall for the ones
that we have lost
and for the times when we feel
there is no one that loves us
Tears fall for when
we are proud of the ones we love
and the accomplishments
that they make
But the tears I shed
are for the times that
the one I love has to go away
and I know she feels
