Seeing You Again
by Jean L. Brackebush

Today I thought I saw you
Driving in your car
I can't explain how it made me feel
That you were near and yet so far

It made me think what would I do
If someday we would be
Together again, face to face
But would I hate you from afar

You broke my heart, you walked away
You stole my life and didn't say
What caused your mind, your heart, your sole
To become so blind, so hard, so cold

When once the love you felt so strong
Had now become a love gone wrong
And so the two of us you said
Could not belong, could not stay strong

You felt no more what we once had
You felt the need to make me sad
I felt the pain, I felt so bad
And did you care, did you show a sign
Did you feel bad, did you feel mine

Did you have a clue of the pain you caused
Or even how you made me cry
Would you care if you even knew

I thought I saw you driving in your car
I can't explain how it made me feel
Would I want to see you face to face
Or just hate you from afar
