It Was All A Dream The days that passed The rivers run dry The tears fade at last Leaves fall From the trees in fall Still I walk smiling amidst it all Then I hear her call my name Teary eyed fatigued from pain & so I hide to escape her games For fear that nothing In her has changed But who am I to judge her change But who am I to say I've changed For years this pace I have maintained Until finally my love was drained & still I'm labeled a foolish man For the life I gave up To hold her hand Through all the hate & all the lies I still find comfort In her eyes This is why so long I'll try And probably why so soon I'll die With memories of this saddened scene I thank the Lord It Was All A Dream
