Forgive and Forget
by Erikka Hurd

When your relationship's going well,
You feel something but you keep going on.
It's so bad it makes you ill,
You're bound to know that something's wrong.
He says it was just a peck,
That she was the one who did it.
He shows you no respect,
Because you know it takes two to kiss.
He wants you back,
Says he can't live without you.
To get things right on track,
All you need to do is say, "I do."
You don't know what to say,
And you can't make up your mind.
You consider things each way,
Now you really know that love is blind.
Do you honestly and truly want him,
When he doesn't acknowledge it.
Your judgment's cloudy and dim,
Can you really forgive when you can't forget?
