Alone With A Thought
by P. Polcari

Alone I sit with a thought in my mind,
of the one whom my heart forgets not.
The one who always reveals most the time,
that together our bodies too hot.

A stare for one sends the other a note,
sparking their soul's dance to start.
His soft lips eager to fall on her throat,
feels the rapid increase of her heart.

No doubt will he know as deep as the bone,
when he touches her skin any place.
Her message is clear by simplest tone,
matched by the glowing eyes on her face.

Their power shoulders the burden of life,
like the fruit on a blossoming tree,
This commitment between husband and wife,
will be made with you down on one knee.

This is the place and now is the time,
to forget the path of "alone".
I will be yours and you will be mine,
for forever each other a home.
