All I Ever Wanted

How can you hurt me again
I want so bad to ask
All I ever wanted was
Was a love to forever last.

You came back so sudden
With sweet words on your tongue
Promising you would never leave me
But my telephone never rung.

I waited so long
And cried so much
All I ever wanted
Was your loving touch.

But you just wanted me
For a little while
To play your mind games
And act like a child.

Now I know life
Life must go on
But all I ever wanted
Was for you to be the "ONE".
