He didn't treat her right
and now he's alone.
He picked too many fights
and now she is gone.
Walking on the sidewalk
he thought of days passed,
when he first met her
and for her hand he asked.
Sadly he looks at the ground
but to him it mocked,
"How could you be so stupid,
she was all you got?"
But his pride held him
so he tried to shut out the voice,
but all seemed against him
even his will and thoughts.
So he settled for her sweet memories
as comforts kept in his soul,
but they also fled from him
leaving him, abandoned. |
