Life and Time

Time
by Don Lewis

I'd like to relive some yesterdays
To slow down the hands of time
I can recall wishing days away
Hindsight shows me truly blind
For the time that we are all given
Each to spend as we may desire
Is short but ours to be lived in
Governed by one so much higher
Yet times in tasks lay before me
I hear myself foolishly say
I wish time to speed, but then I stop and see
I am just wishing my life away
So no matter how rough the path is
Or how steep the hill is to climb
Through out each day remember this
The free thing we're all given is time
And time is taken away in time
