Life! by David G. Bancroft | Life is never still, bending only to God's will, ticking for each of us in its own way no matter... the day, how hard we work or play, how little we stray, how often we sway, how far we run away, what others do or say, how much we pray, nature's unforeseen wrath crossing our path.
Life flows with highs and lows and collectively shows what we do, both false and true, in thought and deed, whether we fail or succeed, as we proceed with the hope to transcend our certain earthly end, renewing life again in the eternal warmth of Heaven. | By David G. | | This poem came to be as I thought more about the indescribable, biblical loss of life caused by the tsunami in the Indian Ocean late-December 2004. This tragic natural disaster is a very sobering and frightening reminder to mankind on the fragility of life . . . and just how little control we, as individuals and as nations, have over it. |
