How I See It All
by Don Lewis

The winds of nature blowing in
From way out on the seas
Raising tides as walls of water
Engulf with a raging ease
Flooding out those houses
That held once a beautiful view
Of the sunsets and sun rises
Upon the peaceful waters blue
Winds twisted threw the small towns
Which stood proudly in the past
Leaving nothing but devastation
Taking lives through out its blast
Houses that were ripped and torn
Lay spread out far and wide
The memories of the families
Now emotionally stressed inside
Some who have not the houses
They once had called their own
Possessions and their keep sakes
All broken, tossed and thrown
Fear filled hearts are weeping
Not knowing what comes next
They keep their hopes alive
While still praying for the rest
So many have sought refuge
In towns and states else where
It’s such a wonderful feeling
To see just how others care
Giving from within their hearts
To those which are in need
Helping those in troubled times
To insure that they succeed
Yet none knows what awaits them
As they reassemble soon their lives
Some will return to build again
Still there are those who didn't survive
May peace be with all
