Why I?
by Shobhit Gupta

That night, I was in a sound sleep
away from this worldly world
my soul swung in the divine rhythm
with Him, from where I have come

My rant, "Oh Lord, why am I sent there?"
in those stray shafts of sunlight
tanned in the evil glare
Jungle, where one's food is the other

You are me and I am you
but I am more than you
you are there to do
what I am unable to

seep in the essence of love
bliss lies within you
spread my message to my children
with whatever you do

sun powers you, rain cools you
stars guide you, nature lives you
you got to pay them off
do the best whatever you do

my children are me
and you are their pillar
your world is the heaven
with or without me, make it one.
