What are some of the greatest treasures of life? The sweet embrace of a loving wife.
The healing kiss of a dad or mom. The illuminating power of a poem or psalm.
The relief of ointment applied to a blister. Aspirations we share with a brother or sister.
The sparkling brilliance of a starlit night. Accomplishment of goals that seemed out of sight.
The grip of a child’s hand around your finger so tight. Teaching a child the difference between wrong and right.
Giving service to others each day. Hearing the squeal of a child at play.
The fragrance of a flower as it caresses our nose. The magic of a child’s unrehearsed pose.
The feeling of comfort and satisfaction after a tasty meal. Serenity that comes to the soul as you repent and begin to heal.
The sight of an infant being caressed by a loving mother. Seeing a selfless person giving loving service to another.
The Holy Ghost, as it testifies truth to the soul. The comforting feeling when we are spiritually full.
Both physical and spiritual tribulations are given to us every day. ‘Tis how we react to them that will determine our eternal way.
Today is so fleeting, but it is all we have been given. So open your eyes, “TAKE NOTE” of how you are living.
Let us give thanks for every morning we receive on this earth. Please remember you are a “Child of God” and are of infinite worth.
Before we know it, we will be standing at the “Judgement Bar”. I’m sure we’ll find that it was the little things that determined who we are.
So today, my hope for each person who hears my poem. Is that the tapestry of your life will lead to a “Heavenly Home”. |
