Holidays and Seasons

This Thanksgiving Day
by Bernard Howe

As we look around the room and see
all the Thanksgiving Day decor.
We thank you Lord for our bounty
just like our ancestors done before.

On this day we thank you Lord
for the food upon our table.
And to be with all our family
for which we're all still able.

Thank you for our daily health
and a family in which to share.
Now that our crops are gathered up
our cupboards are no longer bare.

Thank you for our little ones
that graces our lives with joy.
And this time with our oldest son
for soon his unit will deploy.

Thank you Lord for the little things
in which we most often forget.
May we do what's always right
not something we'll come to regret.
