Finds us among bare trees
Wrapped in beauty of white glimmer
Falling from the sky.
Even the animals know
There's magic in the air.
They bay and watch
The activity everywhere.
Ice-skaters on the pond
Enjoy evening's knife cold edge.
Their laughter and their joy
Warm-up the barn-side ledge.
Visitors come around the bend
As friends and family appear once more
To celebrate the Birth of Our King.
And, the animals do know for sure
It is a special day.
