Drug Trafficking
by Maxine Crawford

We are to be sober, vigilant
Because our Adversary is no gent
He is a roaring lion seeking whom
He may devour way too soon.

Our sobriety has been stolen
Blissful intoxication made laden
With lethal intoxicants that blind,
Those harsh liqueurs and the wines.

Many of our children are on corners
Obtaining drugs by buying from foreigners
Selling a fast dime to their own brothers
Who is later murdered for one reason or another.

Grieving wombs ask how drugs came home
Not knowing, the traffic's culprit was/is Rome.
Where there sits heavily the many Antichrist
With certain countries as its devices.
