Through A Dragon's Eyes
by Paula Scott

I have hidden in caves
from men,
Taking flight by the cover
of night.
I am bruised, I am scarred,
I am battered,
Nonetheless, I have still won
the fight.
I have fought beside Knights of
King Arthur,
And been hunted by men of
the same.
I have assisted the mighty
magicians,
Whenever they called out
thy name.
I have watched my ancestor's
perish,
By deceiver's we once called
"Old Friend's",
I have watched as the "Old Ways"
have vanished,
Perhaps never to be seen again.
I am sad and lonely for
companionship,
Which I know that I'll never
receive,
For the world in which I exist
now,
There is no one left to Believe.
