My Man In The Moon
by Maggi Norris

I went outside tonight.
I stared at the moon for the longest time.
I see you there.
You are my man in the moon.
My shining celestial body.
My protector of dreams.
The strength of my heart.
Clouds may cover the sky.
But my man in the moon is always there.
Though the moon may wax and wane,
it always returns to shine brightly
and affect the tides of my life.
So it is with you.
Always there.
Always strong.
Always bright and beautiful.
I am safe within the glow of your light.
Healed by the beauty of your radiance.
Loved in the warmth of your presence.
I am yours.
An earthly creature
bonded to the care of my celestial lover.
Always so far.
Yet, ever so near.
Never to part.
Ever to hold.
Eternally loving my man in the moon.
