A Mask Of Metal
by
Naomi Den Besten

My face has been taken away by a mask.
I am a man with a metal face.
I am no longer the man I was,
I live with a new name and a new face.
None can see my face and none know my name.
My eyes are hidden so is my pain and my grief.
The world is an lonely place for me for no one can see my face.
I’ve been called many things,
a man,
a monster,
a soldier,
even a lover,
My name is unknown as is my face but I can tell this;
I show no mercy to my foes
they will all fall for the man with the metal face,
And the lost thing they will see is a metal face
with out any emotions and with out any mercy,
they will all die until one can defeat me
and ride me of the pain and sorrow I feel deep inside.
I pray day in day out for that some one
to take my life and stop the suffering.
Will my battle against the mask made of metal ever be over?
I fear only time will tell.
