Mothers
by Bernard Howe

When God looked around to give,
the truest gift he had.
From the treasures of his fold,
he gave the world a dad.

From the goodness of his heart,
he gave the world another.
From all his rarest jewels,
he gave the world a mother.

A mother is to everyone,
a symbol of true love.
That's because she truly is,
given to us from God above.

No illness or any injury,
can make us feel a chill.
As mother takes care of us,
with all her loving skill.

And when anything goes wrong,
who is it that we seek.
The mother God gave to us,
because she's so unique.
