Grandma And Me

Although I've never met you
I miss you everyday
I wish I could talk to you
'Cause there's so much I want to say

I would tell you that I love you
And how much I really care
I would throw my arms around you
With all the love I have to share

Mom tells me all about you
From your smile to your kind heart
I often sit and wonder
Why we have to be apart

I guess your time had come
To leave us all alone
But we know you're better off
Around God's Heavenly throne

We know that you're all better now
From the sickness and the pain
And because you never lost your faith
An angel is what you became

As long as I am here on earth
I know I'm as safe as can be
Because my grandma is up in Heaven
Watching over me

I know you are an angel
In Heaven far away
And I will get to meet you
When God says it's Ok

But for now I'll just imagine
Of how great it's going to be
The day I finally get to see you
When it's just grandma and me!
