For Effie
by Robin L. Stafford

Your smile could brighten the darkest sky,
Your laugh could stop the rain,
With so much tenderness in your eyes,
The whole world was yours to obtain..

Your spirit was so full of wonder and hope,
Your soul was so thoughtful and kind,
You were a light with a golden glow,
That no star could have out shined..

Your dreams were your own to behold,
Your choices were yours to decide,
But your future was left untold,
And your life was so quickly denied..

Remembering every detail about you,
What meant the most was your heart,
It was so easy to love and fall into,
It's the one thing that set you apart..

There will never be a more loving son,
Not a brother or friend near or far,
There could never be another loved one,
That is missed and loved more than you are.
