Family and Friends
by
Billie Jo Baldwin

Look at older men as fathers,
Younger men as brothers,
Older women as our mothers,
Younger women as sisters,
Because we are young let no one,
Look down, set an example,
In speech, life, love, faith, purity,
Watch life even when we're young.

Controversies and quarrels are,
About words results envy,
Constant friction not needed,
Any who do not provide for,
Relatives especially,
All immediate family,
Is worst than unbelievers.

In world rich are commanded,
But do not be arrogant,
No hope in wealth, uncertainly.

Search us Oh, Jesus, find us true,
And make us Savior like you,
A light on a stand not hidden.
