Family and Friends

A New Beginning
by Don Lewis

As he gets off the bus
Once arrived at the station
His parents and family
Are all there, just waiting.
He's come home at last
His service now done
There's a smile on his face
As if he had won
He's so happy to see
All his family and friends
And the knowing he won't
Have to leave them again
As they all hug and kiss him
And give him their best
There's one that he longs for
That's Above all the rest
He holds him so gently
Close up to his heart
It's the first he's seen him
As tears of joy start
Happiness and tear drops
With a feeling so good
As his role in life now
Is to begin father hood
The deepness of love
Shown in the eyes of his wife
Hold a promise of faith
To support their new life
