Veteran’s Day shall always be
A very special day for me
For all the freedom in our land
Is the result of every women and man
Who willingly gave their lives for us
The Nation whose motto is: “IN GOD WE TRUST”
Those who believe this to such an extent
They willingly put their lives on the line, wherever sent
Not just to protect our freedom alone
But in effort to bring freedom to every land and home
To pray and worship without condition
In a sense carrying out “THE GREAT COMMISSION”
Upholding our FLAG, of THE RED, WHITE & BLUE
So all the world might know our stand, to which they remained true
And I appall the attempt I see today
To destroy our Nations’ original stand or FLAG, in anyway
So let us each as we commemorate, VETERAN’S DAY
Lift our hearts in prayer and continue to pray
This Nation remains as one who in GOD does TRUST
And that FREEDOM is preserved for all of us. |
