The Greatest Love
by
Pearlie Duncan Walker

The greatest love of all; on a cross-, came to call
He was to pay for our sins; rich or poor; one and all
Oh how noble is He, that He would choose to die for me
Bring my soul into Heaven with God; victoriously.

I praise Him; who could love more than Jesus?
Not a soul living or dead could ever have saved us.
' O; He walked the old road with a beam upon His back
A heavy burden, but determination He had no lack.

He died a death of horror that you and I might see
The love He had for us throughout all eternity.
Even as a babe in the manger; I believe He knew
Knowing all the while that the Father and Heaven was due.

He is coming again; let us stay our soul to prepare
For when He comes for His bride, to go there
Into the realms of Heaven; O what would we give?
Maybe a friend betrayed us; let us forgive.

I know He awaits His children with awesome love
We shall not know this love to the fullest until above
Don't wait dad and mother, sister and brother to choose
When your life here is gone; Heaven you'll not lose.
