O say, let us praise, by the blood Jesus Christ, What so proudly we become at the suffering son servant? Whose deep strips and dark skies, through the righteous fight, O'er the sorrow he faced was so rejecting, despised! And the mocking cruel men, the mouths scouring at him, Gave proof through the cross that our Lord was slay there: O say, does that Christ-suffering banner still wave O'er the blood of the Christ and the hope of us all?
On the cross, servant seen through the sins of the world, Where the death's wicked stain in grave valley deception, What is that which the world, o'er the loving truth, As it truthfully speaks, Christ concealed, Christ disclosed, Now it reveals the truth of the risen first born, In full splendor salvation has come through the son. 'This is the son-suffering banner! O yes it still wave O'er the blood of the Christ and the hope of us all!
And why has that son who so victorious gave That the harden of heart and the spiritual confusion A Son and a Savior should live in our hearts! Christ blood has washed us from sin's strongholds' confusion. No human could save the sinner's and saint's From the shadow of death, or the sin of the man: And the Christ-suffering banner in triumph blood wave O'er the blood of the Christ and the hope of us all!
O thus peace for ever, why freeman still stand Between all loved ones and the faith's crucifixion! Bless with salvation and grace, may the heaven-angels sing Praise the Lord that he made and redeemed us his body Then conquer all sin, when his cause was for us, And this is our motto: "Jesus our Savior," And the Christ-Messiah banner we confess shall wave O'er the blood of the Christ and the hope of us all! |
