Faith and Religion

Still The Same
by Joyce C. Lock

If 'ere ye be self will denied and,
Though through the fire, one's faith is tried;

The aching heart about to burst,
Or blisters form in plight of thirst …

And from the stripes no flesh remains -
God's promises are still the same.
