As God’s spirit children we lived in heaven beforehand,
We longed to come to earth and to obey Gods commands.
Our most valued endowment would be the agency to choose,
We understood if we were disobedient we would forever loose.
God explained the difficulties that each soul would face,
He offered his direction if we would give the Holy Spirit place.
Each of us sang and rejoiced to be given our mortal opportunity,
We understood that there were risks to gain happiness eternally.
In mortality good and evil compete to influence our eternal souls,
By the Holy Ghost God directs each of us towards our eternal goals.
The Holy Ghost helps us feel truth as we move down life’s road,
His guiding influence helps us to live our life in a righteous mode.
Very few men will see God or angles while on their earthly trek,
Most every soul will feel the Holy Ghost’s influence spec by spec.
As we choose the right the Holy Ghost fills us with Gods light,
Those powerful promptings of the spirit give us spiritual insight.
Have you felt the cleansing power of Holy Ghost in your life?
Have you felt the life altering warmth that vanquishes all strife?
Have you come to understand a spiritual truth is completely true?
Have you felt the Holy Ghost directing each little thing you do?
Have you felt so loved by Christ your Lord that tears start to fall?
Have you felt suddenly inspired to act selfless for no reason at all?
Have you come to know how a scripture passage can help you?
Have you felt God speaking to you about things you need to do?
Have you come to KNOW and understand the will of your Lord?
Have Heavenly Father’s will and yours come to be of one accord?
As we are obedient to promptings we become more like God,
Soon the veil will part and we will be walking heaven’s sod.
As we gaze in the eyes of Christ our Lord how will we feel?
If during our life we do not know the Holly Ghost is real? |
