He Understands
by
Billie Jo Baldwin

We keep close watch over ourselves from wrong,
All we say we keep muzzle on our mouths,
As long as evil present, we keep peace,
Our pain increased, heart beats fast, hands get wet,
Our minds wandered and we began to speak,
Our whole like's nothing; our ways a mere span,
The span of our years nothing but breathe.

Let us know how fleeting our life's are why,
We are a puff of wind like our riches,
We pile up but do not know who enjoy,
Our hope is in you Jesus we wait you,
Remove us from all who would do us wrong,
We not open our mouths be made fools of,
Hear our request and answer our prayers for,
We wait on you Lord, in prayers wait answers.

We find shelter in you Jesus, praise wait,
Save us from our sins rebuke discipline,
Each of us a breath, hear our prayers, Oh, Lord,
Our cries for help we lack understanding,
The Lord mourns for all people his heart hurts,
All forsaken him have not obeyed him,
Our harden hearts have no wisdom lacking,
We lack knowledge we do not see his plan.

The Lord says, "Let not the wise men boast of,
Wisdom or strong men boasts of his riches,
But let him who boasts, boast about this:
That he understands knowledge, and knows Lord,
I Am God alone, exercise kindness,
Justice and righteousness on earth in these,
Declares the Father God and Savior Christ.
