Another Life Given
by Denny Lancaster

Living waters in the garden were bred,
to flow and drink from the fountain head,
but first to HIS temple we must be led.
Here the roofs are clean, no mire
and devoid of sacrificial fire.
Before it prostrate HIM we adore,
the cross kissed, the Saints implore:
Forgiveness with powers from above
by prayers are lent and proven love;
If human miseries can move our kind;
We are told of HIM, by a second birth,
mankind and we people of this earth.

Then when our GOD in graciousness said:
Depart, with reverence to the fountain head
with humble and contrite heart we stand
anxious to complete HIS new command
for the son of man gives hope not fear
and with an open mind commands hear:
What the father gave humanity we will face
and with a new life renew the human race.
Hence we derive our nature, born to bear,
a life given anew and into HIS hands our care.
