A little dog died, that in a commercial could be They called him RAGS, for he lacked pedigree. He was very special, to dear friend of mine But with age he soon became very blind.
His ears stood up straight, at the slightest of sounds Until deafness took place, and confusion abound But still he remained, a dear precious soul. Who understood my friend, and made him feel whole
For while he couldn’t speak, he could talk to his pal Who could only respond, with a compassionate growl. To you who have never, known such a bond It will seem strange a grown man, of his dog is so fond
But believe me its fact, that GOD gave us these friends Who’s wave length of knowledge, our understanding transcends And oh what an honor, my friend came to me And let flow his emotions, where tears I could see.
We prepared a resting place, until the day that will come When creation is freed by, God’s Beloved Son For truly if many sparrows comprise a man’s soul Rags will be there when the universe is made whole.
We call my friend, “TUFFY”, and now I know why For few men are strong enough, that they know how to cry. But one day real soon, all tears will be passed, And our robes now pure white, with all our rags passed
And all will obtain, beyond pedigree As time is destroyed and all creatures freed Yes, it was sad, to have placed in the ground A dog a commercial, would have been lucky to have found
But all of our Rags, we will one day Transcend For death’s a beginning, and NEVER an end! |
