Four Seconds To Go
by Joseph A. Decker, Jr.

There was a team named Notre Dame
Who thought they would win the game.
Behind at the half, they came to surpass
A feat that was admired by all.

U.S.C. was befuddled, as they spoke in the huddle,
Of events that had gone awry.

With seconds to go, as now we all know,
They went with their toes to score.

The Irish, it is said, cannot understand,
How quickly U.S.C. shut the door.
