Earning and Spending

Why is it so hard for us to earn,
But spending comes without really trying?
When seeking cash we see but faces stern
But smiles abound when we are buying.

One rule of life, my son, is that,
Be it in honest business or in sleazy,
For billionaires, or beggars with a hat,
To earn is hard; to spend is easy.
