DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME by Claude Peter Dhuet

Old Ben Franklin had a plan-
to save a little time-
He said "why don?t we spring ahead-
And then let?s fall behind".

This change of time has me confused-
I wish we?d make up our mind-
Just when I?m used to spring ahead-
It?s time to fall behind.

To old Ben it was quite clear-
To me it is confusing-
I?ve even thought the reason-
That to him it was amusing.

No freeway did he have to travel-
When it got dark at night-
He never had to catch a plane-
Or fear to miss a flight.

But if I forget to change my clock-
My life can be a mess-
Is it one hour more-
Or is it one hour less.

So lets just leave it as it was-
Before old Ben was born-
And all the confusion that it brought-
Let bygone days, be gone.
