Thanksgiving Time
by Bernard Howe
The temperature is dropping
the leaves are turning brown.
People everywhere are shopping
throughout our little town.
Thanksgiving is upon us
our families will soon arrive.
It's no time to raise a fuss
as they enjoy the drive.
Our tables centerpiece
is getting bigger every year.
As our family does increase
there's more that will appear.
The love that binds us together
gets stronger with each season.
And no matter what the weather
they'll come for just this reason.
We thank our almighty creator,
remember family that has passed.
For what we have here is greater,
our loving family that has amassed.
