Downhill Thursday begets Wednesday
as sunday begets a lazy saturday
we as vapors shrink in the heat
cosmic cycles themselves repeat
Eternally placed we not now stay
that to a higher being we pray
Casually autumn begets summer
as spring begets chilling winter
foolishly gold we here will heap
but us from the grave not keep
time spreads up as years are longer
like a punctuation a mere comma
as fortuitous smile begets strife
death suddenly begets life
the body degrades into sleep
as age into our lives daily creep
birth our legacies to revive
so we posthumously thru our kids survive
