WONDERLAND - by Claude Peter Dhuet

There is a place where children go-
They call it wonder land-
Where wondrous creatures therein dwell-
To them its a magic land.

It tells of tales of long ago-
Where dragons rant and roar-
An so many other things-
Of which there is no more.

But why should they go there when today-
There is so very much more-
Of wondrous things that is on hand-
They can count them by the score.

There are men who fly up to the moon-
In ships with such great speed-
They leave the earthly bounds of men-
They do it with great ease.

To travel underwater-
Was once a laughing matter-
If you had said it could be done-
You were madder than the mad hatter.

So if they want to see wondrous things-
Why don’t they look around-
Compared to wondrous things of old-
Theirs exceed it a thousand fold.
