Reflections of my Life
by Bernard Howe
January 6, 2007

My father died last year,
my mother two years before.
I know sometime in the future,
they'll meet me at heavens door.

My thoughts are always with them,
as I imagine they'll always be.
I hope my life will be as blessed,
as what theirs did seem to me.

Life is filled with many lessons,
that will never stop until I'll die.
So as long as I'll keep breathing,
I'll remember them till I say goodbye.

The treasures that I've witnessed,
and the love that I've shared.
I hope that I've passed these on,
to my children of whom I cared.

Now while I begin my later years,
good memories return once more.
This brings a smile to my wrinkled face,
for what life brought to my door.

I feel as though I've been blessed,
with the family and friends in my life.
I think my time here's been pretty easy,
especially with a dear and loving wife.
