What does it mean to be a Christian-
When suddenly we are whisked away-
For no one knows the time-
And no one knows the day.

We know that we need not worry-
For what may lie beyond-
For we have promises of a better place-
We have promises of a crown.

To be with the Creator-
To reign with him on high-
In such a wondrous heavenly place-
In our new home in the sky.

No pain will we ever feel again-
No suffering will we endure-
No sorrow will ever come our way-
Of this we can be sure.

For Christ the Redeemer paid the price-
He bough it with his blood-
That we may dwell with him in perfect peace-
That we may live in perfect love.

To all the loved ones we leave behind-
To the ones with the grief filled hearts-
Miss us but know that we’ll be fine-
Miss us but let us go.

For this is a journey that we all must make-
A journey on the road to home-
It’s all a part of the Master’s plan-
A journey we must make alone.

One day in the future,
Once more we’ll meet again-
To live forever in that heavenly place -
Just keep us in your hearts till then.
